Donation to Oberlin College Eileen Thornton, emeritus librarian of Oberlin, has donated her home to Ober­ lin College in the form of a special trust. Eventually the principal from the trust will be used to endow a fund for the li­ brary for use at the discretion of the head librarian. Her retirement from the faculty culminates thirty-eight years of distinguished service to the library and the university. F l e m i n g B e n n e t t , assistant director of li­ braries, U n i v e r s i t y o f F l o r i d a , and formerly university librarian, University of Arizona (1952-64) ‚ has announced that he will retire on June 30, 1976. C a r o l y n E. J a k e m a n , assistant librarian for reference in the Houghton Library, will retire on July 1 after more than forty years of service in the H a r v a r d C o l l e g e Library.
