In “We are all reference librarians” (page 168), Amy Carver show s us how collaboration betw een the tw o seemingly disparate areas of cataloging and reference not only leads to greater understanding betw een the two depart­ ments, bu t inevitably results in a m ore user- centered catalog that meets the library’s ulti­ mate goal of serving its patrons. This issue also includes the first installment o f announcem ents for ACRE aw ard winners.
