In this issue Patricia Breivik shares with us 

the progress ACRL has made in implementing 
its new Strategic Plan (page 10). She also offers 
a look at the development o f the interpretation 
o f the ALA L ib ra ry  B ill o f  Rights with regard to 
access to electronic information, services, and 
networks (page 29). This article details ACRL’s 
concerns with the draft interpretation and seeks 
your comments.

Access to electronic information is an im­
portant issue in the profession as more and more 
information is available electronically. On page 
12 Ann Koopman and Sharon Hay describe their 
use o f electronic access to information at Indi­
ana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.

As libraries generate more and more elec­
tronic information and/or provide the gateway 
to it, it becom es important to have guidelines 
for developing the electronic product. Nancy 
McClements and Cheryl Becker share their stan­
dards for writing W eb pages (page 16).

The “Conference Circuit” has a report from 
the Off-Campus Library Services Conference 
(page 35) thanks to Rick Bean.

Our Internet resource lists continue this 
month with a look at resources for health policy 
thanks to Lynne M. Stuart and Dena H. Hutto 
(page 19).

B e sure to check out the pullout brochure 
in this issue. ACRL’s Nashville National Confer­
ence Executive Committee has issued its “Call 
for Participation.” Conference organizers are 
seeking dynamic presentations exploring the 
conference theme, “Choosing Our Futures.” This 
year participants will be selected based upon 
their abstracts so that presentations can b e fi­
nalized just prior to the National Conference, 
keeping the information as up-to-the-minute as 
possible.

Finally, let me extend my thanks to Kit Dusky 
and Eldon Tamblyn who have once again pro­
vided C&RL News with an annual index. Please 
note the index is separately paginated so that 
you can easily pull it out and place it with your 
1995 issues.
