I
stood
for
election
two
years
ago,

little
did
I
know
that
I
would
enter
my
presi­
dential
year
with
our
country
in
economic
cri­
sis.
In
light
of
this
situation,
the
two
initiatives

that
I
talked
about
then—library
workforce

development
and
ACRL
as
your
professional

home—have
taken
on
a
sense
of
urgency.

 goal
 is
 to
 make
 certain
 that
 ACRL

is
 well­positioned
 to
 support
 our
 members

through
and
beyond
this
time
of
uncertainty

and
opportunity.
As
we
adjust
to
diminishing

resources,
it
is
more
critical

to
