In the summer of 2012, Simmons will begin to offer a post-master’s degree certificate in Digital Stewardship (DSC). It will consist of five courses covering the concepts and skills needed to create and manage the content, technologies, and user expectations of a sustainable digital repository. It can be com- pleted in three or five semesters. Ross Harvey is the DSC program director and will teach the first course in summer 2012. In the fall, Simmons will offer an online master’s degree program with a concentra- tion in archival management. The archival concentration has a significant preservation component. For more information about DSC, go to www.simmons.edu/gslis/academics /programs/certificate/dsc.php.
