Dina Kellams has been appointed direc- tor of the Office of University Archives and Records Management at Indiana University- Bloomington. Kellams has served as associate archivist in that office since May 2005. Prior to this position, she was assistant archivist from December 1999 through April 2005 and act- ing director from April through August 2003. Beth McNeil, professor and associate dean for academic affairs at the Purdue University Libraries, has been named dean of the Iowa State University Library. She will begin July 15, 2015. At Purdue, McNeil was responsible for managing 12 campus libraries, as well as the archives/special collections, technical services, digitization, and collections manage- ment units. She had oversight of nearly 90 faculty and staff, and a $13.7 million annual collections budget. McNeil has also served in leadership positions at the Bradley University and University of Nebraska-Lincoln libraries. Anne Osterman has been appointed the Virtual Library of Virginia (VIVA) director. She comes to the consortium with an extensive background in academic libraries and consortial services, and brings an expert knowledge of both the challenges facing today’s academic libraries and emerging innovative responses to those challenges. Before joining VIVA as deputy director in 2012, Osterman worked for nearly eight years in positions of increasing respon- sibility at American University Library in Washington, D.C. She held the position of director of the Information Service Delivery department when she left to join the VIVA office. She also held public services posi- John Lehner, associate dean of personnel, planning, and systems, has been selected as the inaugural recipient of the Ambassador Kenneth Franzheim II Endowed Library Professorship. The professorship was es- tablished to support a full-time librarian in the MD Anderson Library at the University of Houston. The candidate must have ex- ceeded the requirements to achieve the rank of full professor, or full librarian, and must be recognized as an individual who has ad- vanced their discipline, who is regarded for leadership, and whose opinions are highly respected. Lehner’s scholarship is widely noted for its careful analysis of the dynamic landscape of human resource administration. Professional library associations, such as ACRL, and research library consortia, such as the Association of Research Libraries, frequently call upon Lehner’s knowledge in creating standards and guidelines, develop- ing initiatives, and enhancing programs in human resource endeavors. His areas of expertise range from diversity to executive leadership to workforce development. Ken- neth Franzheim II was a Houston oilman and philanthropist. He served as ambassador to New Zealand, Western Samoa, Tonga, and Fiji from 1969 to 1972. Morgan Adams is now the conservator for special collections in preservation at Co- lumbia University Libraries. Amanda Albert is the new distance learn- ing librarian at Kennesaw State University’s Horace W. Sturgis Library. Kelly Ansley is now the reference and instruction librarian at the L.V. Johnson Library-Marietta Campus of Kennesaw State University. Laurie Aycock has joined the Horace W. Sturgis Library at Kennesaw State University as the new undergraduate science librarian. Alyssa Brissett has been named the Lehman access and reserves supervisor in the Social Sciences Libraries at Columbia University. Ying Chen is the new embedded and instruction librarian at the L.V.
