A New Summons, to warn all the Bawds and Whores, to the gossipping of the Temple-Twins.

AS We have lately given you the famous Narrative of a short but Renown●d Westminster-Wedding, and recounted the Prodigious Feats of Chivalry, perfor●ed by a certain Knight-Templer, upon the Body of a Fleet-street Lady; so, to prosecute this Noble History, No sooner this Renown rung through the Town, but a Congratulatory Address from the whole Body of those Matronly Ladies, fair Venus'es Court of Assistants, was handed up by the Venerable Madam crumb— l, their Chair-woman, and subscribed by the Executrices of Bennet, Gifford, Crefwel, &c. not only setting forth the Generosity of the Knight, in so hospitable a Reception of the Straggling dansel; but more particularly Her own resounding Glory in so Illustrious a Production; as, having little less than retrieved the whole lost Honour of her Function: For as generally those softer Feminine Rovers that( as jo says in his Proloage) manage an hundred Shuttles in one Loom, those fair Latitudinarians in Love( tho otherwise naturally p●rhaps of a Pregnant and Fertile Con●t●tution; yet, what with too many Pl●ughs to turn up their Glebe, whilst one Roots up the Tilth of the other) prove commonly but a Barren sort of soil, insomuch that, like the famous Doll to the Troop, they seldom arrive to any Product above a Cushion▪ However this particular Sister of the Family of Love, on the Contrary, had buoyed up the sinking Reputation of the whole Tribe in so healthy and lumping a Brace of Bantlings, in spite of her hundred several H●mmers and Moulds in her Mint, yet stamped with so fair an Impression.  
Amongst the rest poor Mrs. Stratford, the late Pillory'd Matron, joined in the Congratulation, only with one additional Line or two of Condolence, hearty wishing that her Fo●ntain-Tavern Damse● had been but of half this tender Kidney: For then Warm-Love instead of Lighted-Candles might have done the Gentler Execution, and saved her the hard Pennance of her Wooden-Ruff, and the rest of her doleful Mortyfications of concupiscence, &c.  
But as our Temple Knight has performed such brisk Father-work, and made such hopeful Nurse work, so' it s now high time for him to think of the Christening-work too: For 'tis not sufficient that the Young Bantlings are Born within the Verge of the Temple, but they must be brought into the Pale of the Church. And accordingly, for all due Preparations for tha Solemnity, 'twas advised, by way of Splendour and Magnificence, to perform these last great Rites on no less than the Memorable 10th. of June, the famous Birth-day of &c. that so by joining two such Important Festivals, viz that Anniversary, and this Gossi●ing; the same Bo●●fires and I●luminations might Celebrate and Illustrate both together, and so make a more than ordinary Triumph. Besides as were excused the Charges of Midwifery, 'tis resolved, That what we saved in the Groaning preparations, shall be doubled ith' gossipping Ent●rtainment.  
The Godfathers were Men of Rank and Character and no less than very Eminent. Minstrels and Tembrels, Flutes, Haut-boys and Trumpets, were provided on this Account, music both Civil and Military, all Joy and Jollity to fill up the Chorus and crown the Feast.  
To match our Godfathers, the Gossips were suitably chosen, being a Brace and a half of kind Titts, those very civil good natured Pa●tners that the Celebrating of one Christening, like true Friends to the B●d straw would not be wanting to lay a Foundation for another, being those Gay, Brisk, Dancing Girl as could cut Capers to every Tune of Posture Moll.  
The Partners thus fixed, they, and their Retinue, all took Coach from the Dog-Tavern in Drury Lane,( the Hospitable Roof appointed for the Festiva) for Pancras-Church, that famous Mother of Paul's, being particularly selected for this Occasion; as being a kind of a Libertine Temple, where, like the Old A●k, the licenced or Unlicensed Turtle Mates, the Clean, or Unclean enter in Pairs. As they marched on, the Coaches were ordered to move very gently, for this politic Reason, viz. That if the Remembrance of the brisk Lady in Straw should chance to stir up any warm Thoughts in any of the ●ind Pairs, amongst this good Company, to take a Pattern from the fair Copy, the bounce Young Sucklings before them, it was but drawing up the Coach Windows and falling on after the Mothers own Sample: For if the Coach driven softly, and not jolted too hard, they might mount sa●e and ride on secure, without fear of being shocked out of the Saddle.  
After the Sprinkling Church-Ceremonies were done, the whole Cavalcade returned to the Dog, there to finish the remaining Tavern Rites, where the Juice of the Grape, that precious Heavenly due, went plentifully round, not a little Consecrated by many a Sanctifying Health as not forgetting the great double Work of the Day. In short, the Gossips were so blithe and Jolly, and the whole Company so Lovingly Sociable, that in some few Months you may expect to hear of some New Temple Work Midwifery as the second part to this Galloping Tune.
