In addition to the headquarters, MTMC operates through four subcommands. They are: MTMC Deployment Support Command, Fort Eustis , Va.; the Tran sportation Engineering Agency in Newport News , Va.; the 598th Transportation Group in Rotterdam, Netherlands ; and the 599th Transportation Group at Wheeler Army Airfield on Oahu, Hawaii . About 3,000 active-duty military and civilian employees, including more than 400 non-U .S. citizens overseas, work for MTMC. This number increases signifi cantly when Reserve units and individual reservi sts mobilize. Our Mission Provide the Department of Defense worldwide single port management, transportation , and traffic management services; deployment planning and engineering; and 21st Century technologies . Assess the capability of power projection platforms to enable the warfighter to meet deployment requirements. I I + Developing solutions to meet requirements To improve the movement of people , equipment and supplies, MTMC analyzes installation infrastructures and transportation systems, does unit and force deployability studies and evaluates logistics exercises. It also evaluates worldwide defense transportation systems and administers national defense programs affecting railroads, highways and ports. This work is done by MTMC's Transportation Engineering Agency. Deployability Engineering Dedicated People and Organization Putting the solutions in motion + I I Objectives A Improve workforce satisfaction. A Establish and maintain an effective, streamlined organizational structure. A Establish training exercises that ensure successful accomplishment of objectives.
