He was awarded the Osborne Prize of $500 in 1905; the Silver Medal at the Carnegie Institute, Pittsburg, 1912 ; Inness Gold Medal, National Academy of Design, 1913. Mr. Dougherty be- came a member of the Society of American Artists in 1905, an Associate of the National Academy in 1906, and a National Academician in 1907. He is a member of the National Institute of Arts and Letters, the Lotus Club, the Salmagundi Club, and the American Water Color Club. Mr. Dougherty is represented in the Corcoran Gallery of Art and the National Gallery, Wash- ington ; Carnegie Institute, Pittsburg ; Toledo Museum of Art ; Brooklyn Institute Museum ; Chicago Art Institute ; Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York; Buffalo Fine Arts Academy; Portland Art Association, Portland, Oregon ; Fort Worth Art Museum, Fort Worth, Texas; Hackley Gallery of Fine Arts, Muskegon, Michi- gan ; National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa.
