 much revenue the Govermnent has collected from duties 
 upon imports at different points on the sen const of tit" 
 Confederacy since the first day of July ! 
 what amount of the duties thus collected has heen from 
 goods bonded before that date, and how much from 
 goods imported since that date, also the amount of duties 
 collected at the different points on the Mexican frontier, I 
 have the honor to report as follows: 
 
 Amount of revenue collected from duties on imports, and 
 from different points on the sea coast and [Mexican frontier 
 since the first of July, 1861, as far as has been received 
 
 at this Department, $ 63,138 81 
 
 Amount of revenue collected from goods bonded 
 
 before the 1st of July, 1861 239,66.-> 
 
 In response to rtion of the Resolution req 
 
 the cost of said collection, including salaries paid to offic 
 and expense of keeping up Custom Houses, I also report 
 that for that purpose, there has been expended during the 
 same period, to wit: From the 1st day of July, to the 31st 
 of December, 1861, the sum of $63,774 48. 
 
 With this communication, I transmit statements from the 
 First Auditor and Comptroller, giving the same information 
 in detail.

 *tary of the Treasury to furnish Congresi with a copy of 
 anv letter or letters addressed by him to the Governor of 
 'Louisiana, urging the suspension of specie payments by the 
 Banks of that State, I have the honor to comply with the 
 same, by enclosing copies of all the correspondence with the 
 Governor of the State of Louisiana, and of one, also, to the 
 .Attorney General of that State on the same subject.
