Tomy, churchwarden] Memorandum. — That Philip Andros, one of the parishoners of Landinabo, at his own cost and charges, provided a new pulpit clothe, at the price of xiiii shillings, and gave and delivered it to the use of the Church the 10th daie of November, 1633, himselfe and Wm. Andros, of Llandinabo, Jan. 6, 1635, the sum of 6s. 8d. for the burial of Joan, his wife, in the Channcell there. Mem. that I received of John Andros, executor of the last will and testament of his father, Philip Andros, 13J. 4^., for the burialls of his mother Jane, and his father, Philip Andros, in the channcell of Landinabo, which sum of 13J. Mem. that a terrier of all the titles and other profitts and emoluments of right belonging to the parsonage of Landinabo was made, published, and sealed by the parson and parishoners there, June 24, 1637, and one part thereof transmitted unto the Bishop's Registry, and the other parte remaining with the [papers and parchments] laid up in the chest in the channcell wherein the register book is kept. Mem. that the above-named Philip Andros, by his last will did bequeath the summe of 3 pounds to the poor of Landinabo in haec verba : " I give 3 pounds to the poor of Landinabo, to be disposed of for their best advantage at the discretion of my executor." The executor nominated in the sd will was his son, Wm. Andros. Ita est E. Tomp kins. Mar. 14. Car. 10. A.D. 1634. By virtue of a Statute made and enacted 5 Eliz. for the enabling sick persons to eat flesh for the recovery of their health upon dayes and in times prohibited, know all men that I, Ely Tompkins, of Landinabo, in the county of Hereford, clerk and parson there, have given and graunted and by these present do give and graunt under Philip Andros, of Landinabo, aforesaid, gent, being sick and infirm in body (as I am informed by his chirurgian or physician, and as I am well persuaded of myself) licence as far forth as the said Statute doth enable me, to eate flesh for the recovery of his health during the time of his sickness and infirmity, provided that if his said sickness shall continue above the space of eight dayes next after the date above written, the said Philip Andros shall cause this 1 686] Llandinabo. 1 5 present licence to be registered in the church booke of Landinabo according to the form of the Statute. This lycence above written was registered in the church-book of Landinabo, March 22, 1634, in the presence of John Willim, church warden, by me, E. Tompkins, parson. Be it known unto all men by these presents that I, Ely Tompkins, of Landinabo, clerk and parson there, by virtue of a Statute made and enacted 5 Elizabeth, for enabling sick persons to eat flesh for the recovery of their health upon daies and in times prohibited, have given and graunted and by these presents do give and graunt, as far forth as the Statute doth enable me, unto David Furber, of the parish of Harewood, joiner (being the next parish to Landinabo aforesaid, which parish is also at this time destitute of a minister) licence to have flesh dressed in his house onlie for himself to eat for the better recovery of his health (being now of my certayn knowledge sick of a fever) in the time of Lent, and on all other daies prohibited during the time of the said sickness, so as the said David Furber doe cause this licence to be registered according to the form of the said Statute. In witness whereof I, Ely Tompkins, have hereunto putt my hande and seale this 27th Feb., 14 Car., by the grace of God sovraigne of Eng land, Scotland, France, and Ireland, 1638. [1698 MEM. — That it was then agreed, concluded, and con descended, to by and between Thos. Morse, yeoman, and James Roberts, yeoman, both of Pencoid, with the joint consent and attestation of the Minister and some of the chief parishioners — that is to say that the sd. Thos. Morse and James Roberts do exchange their railes being parts of the boundaries of Pencoid churchyard, viz., rails on the West part of the Tower consisting of the measure of 50 foot and belonging to a tenement formerly called White- Wall now in the occupation of the sd. Thos. Morse, which he doth by these presents transfer and conveigh to James Roberts for that his the sd. James' part on the South side of the church, containing about 78 foot, formerly and now belonging to the sd. James his estate, late called the Old- Hall (excepting and always reserved to each of them and their respective families and posterities their seat-places in the church as formerly used). To have and to hold to the sd. Thos. Morse, his heirs and successors, the rails on the south side, and to the sd. James Roberts the rails situate on the west — each part exchanged to be repaired and fenced, as to either of them belongeth, for the securing of the churchyard.
